Overview

TaskcenterChatAgent is Taskcenter's only canonical conversational owner. Every admitted turn uses the five executable loop states: admit, compile, run, checkpoint, and verify.

This product-doc entry exposes the retained runtime contract from docs/plans/MASTER-PLAN.md to the bounded searchDocs/readDocs corpus. The Master Plan remains the only authoritative implementation-status plan; this page is a searchable contract view and must not be used to claim production acceptance.

Canonical conversational owner

TaskcenterChatAgent owns authenticated admission, the ordered transcript, model and tool continuation, the visible stream, stop and resume, delivery, and exactly one conversational terminal. Queue, Workflow, Sandbox, Browser, connectors, and child agents return typed observations to TaskcenterChatAgent; they do not author a competing final response or terminal.

Five executable loop states

The canonical loop states, in order, are admit, compile, run, checkpoint, and verify. Parent tool outcomes such as continue, wait_input, wait_async, complete, or fail are outcomes within that owner loop, not additional conversational owners.
